Warehouse labour productivity calculator
Lines, units and orders per hour, and labour cost per line and per order.
Methodology
Rates divide output by direct labour hours: lines per hour, units per hour, and orders per hour. Total labour hours add indirect hours — supervision, replenishment, housekeeping, training — to the direct hours. Direct labour share = direct hours ÷ total hours, which shows how much of the paid time is touching orders. Labour cost per line and per order divide total labour cost by output, so indirect time is carried by the work that ships. Lines per hour is normally the more comparable measure across ranges, because units per hour moves with pack size rather than with effort. The model does not adjust for pick methodology, travel distance, slotting quality, seasonality, learning curves, or automation, so figures are only comparable against your own operation over time. You supply every input: this site holds no live freight rates, transit times, or duty tables, and never estimates them for you. Results are an orientation model, not a quotation, and not customs, tax, insurance, or financial advice. Confirm duty rates, VAT treatment, and carrier terms with the relevant authority or provider before relying on them.
These calculations are informational estimates based on headline rates and transparent assumptions — not tax, accounting, or legal advice. Verify with a qualified local advisor before relying on the results.
Data limitations
- Logistics figures are operator-supplied inputs, not market data. GeoBusinessIQ holds no freight rates, transit times, capacity, or throughput data and does not estimate them — every result reflects only the figures you enter.
